Three new and/or new-to-me plugins: Custom Post Widget, Stream, and WP Document Revisions. Adding Dashicons to your custom post types.
Plugins
Custom Post Widget – I’ve been looking for this plugin for several years, though I didn’t know it. This plugin solves the problem of using a variety of content in your text widgets, and giving your clients the ability to edit that content without being admins and having access to the Widgets area. Awesome.
Stream – Tracks and monitors everything that happens on your WordPress website. I’ve installed this on several sites and am giving it a test. I like what I see so far compared to other logging plugins I’ve tried in the past. I like it a lot, actually.
WP Document Revisions – I’m currently building an intranet for a large corporation and they needed a secure way to manage their downloadable files. I originally started using Premise to do that, but this plugin runs circles around Premise when it comes to how secure documents are handled. Some folks on this plugin’s support forum are saying it doesn’t work with WordPress 3.7 or 3.8, but I haven’t had any problems with it yet. Highly, highly recommended.

Dashicons – Need a WordPress 3.8-flavored icon for your custom post type? Check out the Dashicons website for the icons and their names, and then add that to your code when you register your custom post type.
